At RtIGraphs.com we believe that a structured Response to Intervention program can help students get the help they need...earlier! Data management can make the difference in losing a few weeks and losing a few months of valuable time for intervention. Check out our great student progress monitoring tool GRAPS (Graphic Representation of Academic Progress System).

RTI & Special Education Teachers

A big question sweeping school using an RTI model across the country is
where special education teacher fit into the school-wide RTI model.
Special Education teachers have historically only been able to work with
students who have been classified as having a disability and have a
current IEP. Recently, special education teachers have been able to
give direct interventions to "Tier III / Red Zone" students and to work
with general education teacher in efforts to provide supports to all
students.

In addition, special education teachers have great skills in monitoring
students' progress. Progress monitoring is an essential component of
the school-wide RTI model. Check out www.RTIGraphs.com to download a
free progress monitoring tool named Graphic Representation of Academic
Progress System (GRĀPS).

The RTI Action Network is giving a free RTI Talk regarding Special
Education Within an RTI Framework on December 14, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. -
